NFL Power Rankings: Week 3

Week Two is in the books. We learned some things, some questions still remain and a major injury shakes things up:

#1 PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2-0)

Last Week: #1, won at #5 Kansas City, 20-17

The Eagles have not been dominant, yet, but they’re still the defending champions.

This Week: vs #5 LA Rams

#2 GREEN BAY PACKERS (2-0)

Last Week: #2, won vs #7 Washington, 27-18

The Packers have been dominant and they are looking like Philly’s biggest obstacle to repeating.

This Week: at #29 Cleveland

#3 BALTIMORE RAVENS (1-1)

Last Week: #3, won vs #28 Cleveland, 41-17

I expect to see this version of the Ravens more often, utterly dominating their competition.

This Week: vs #10 Detroit

#4 BUFFALO BILLS (2-0)

Last Week: #4, won at #17 NY Jets, 30-10

I’m not as bullish on the Bills as most. They’re a very good team, but I think there are better ones out there.

This Week: vs #32 Miami

#5 LOS ANGELES RAMS (2-0) +1

Last Week: #6, won at #30 Tennessee, 33-19

The Rams have been steady, if unspectacular, while taking care of business through two weeks.

This Week: at #1 Philadelphia

#6 LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (2-0) +2

Last Week: #8, won at #20 Las Vegas, 20-9

The Chargers look legit. Great defense. Good, efficient offense.

This Week: vs #11 Denver

#7 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (2-0) +2

Last Week: #9, won at #15 Houston, 20-19

The Buccaneers are just finding ways to win games.

This Week: vs #24 NY Jets

#8 KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (0-2) -3

Last Week: #5, lost vs #1 Philadelphia, 20-17

I can’t drop the Chiefs any further, even though they’re 0-2 for the first time in the Mahomes era.

This Week: at #28 NY Giants

#9 WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (1-1) -2

Last Week: #7, lost at Green Bay, 27-18

The Commanders should bounce back as long as Jayden Daniels is healthy.

This Week: vs #22 Las Vegas

#10 DETROIT LIONS (1-1) +2

Last Week: #12, won vs #19 Chicago, 52-21

The Lions bounced back in a big way, but they have a tough road test this week.

This Week: at #3 Baltimore

#11 DENVER BRONCOS (1-1) -1

Last Week: #10, lost at #24 Indianapolis, 29-28

The Broncos are a bit of a roller coaster on offense and the defense showed cracks this week.

This Week: at #6 LA Chargers

#12 SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (2-0) +9

Last Week: #21, won at New Orleans, 26-21

The 49ers have won 2 in a row on the road despite a rash of injuries.

This Week: vs #15 Arizona

#13 INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (2-0) +11

Last Week: #24, won vs #10 Denver, 29-28

I still don’t believe in Daniel Jones, but that is two impressive wins for the Colts.

This Week: at #30 Tennessee

#13 PITTSBURGH STEELERS (1-1) -1

Last Week: #13, lost vs #22 Seattle, 31-17

A week after an impressive win, the Steelers suffered an ugly loss.

This Week: at #25 New England

#15 ARIZONA CARDINALS (2-0) +3

Last Week: #18, won vs #27 Carolina, 27-22

The Cardinals faced perhaps the softest opening two games in the NFL, but they are 2-0.

This Week: at #12 San Francisco

#16 SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (1-1) +6

Last Week: #22, won at #13 Pittsburgh, 31-17

The Seahawks bounced back from a tough home loss to pick up a tough road win.

This Week: vs #31 New Orleans

#17 ATLANTA FALCONS (1-1) +6

Last Week: #23, won at #14 Minnesota, 22-6

The Falcons picked up a good road win. Even better, their defense showed out.

This Week: at #27 Carolina

#18 CINCINNATI BENGALS (2-0) -7

Last Week: #11, won vs #16 Jacksonville, 31-27

The Bengals are 2-0, but they’ll be without Joe Burrow until December, at least.

This Week: at #19 Minnesota

#19 MINNESOTA VIKINGS (1-1) -5

Last Week: #14, lost vs #23 Atlanta, 22-6

The Vikings could be on a roller coaster all season with JJ McCarthy.

This Week: vs #18 Cincinnati

#20 HOUSTON TEXANS (0-2) -5

Last Week: #15, lost vs #9 Tampa Bay, 20-19

The Texans have had a tough schedule, but their offense looks out of sorts, much like last season.

This Week: at #21 Jacksonville

#21 JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (1-1) -5

Last Week: #15, lost at #11 Cincinnati, 31-27

The Jaguars couldn’t manage to beat Cincinnati without Joe Burrow.

This Week: vs #20 Houston

#22 LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (1-1) -2

Last Week: #20, lost vs #8 LA Chargers, 20-9

The Raiders offense looked awful on Monday night.

This Week: vs #9 Washington

#23 DALLAS COWBOYS (1-1) +6

Last Week: #29, won vs #26 NY Giants, 40-37

The Cowboys pulled out the victory thanks to their big legged kicker.

This Week: at #26 Chicago

##24 NEW YORK JETS (0-2) -7

Last Week: #17, lost vs #4 Buffalo, 30-10

The Jets looked awful against the Bills, and Justin Fields is in the concussion protocol.

This Week: at #7 Tampa Bay

#25 NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (1-1)

Last Week: #25, won at #32 Miami, 33-27

The Patriots were able to break the curse they’ve had playing in Miami.

This Week: vs #14 Pittsburgh

#26 CHICAGO BEARS (0-2) -7

Last Week: #19, lost at #12 Detroit, 52-21

We may look back at Week 2 as the low point of Ben Johnson’s Bears, but that sure was ugly.

This Week: vs #23 Dallas

#27 CAROLINA PANTHERS (0-2)

Last Week: #27, lost at #18 Arizona, 27-22

The Panthers finally showed some promise in the fourth quarter of the second game of 2025.

This Week: vs #17 Atlanta

#28 NEW YORK GIANTS (0-2) -2

Last Week: #26, lost at #29 Dallas, 40-37

The Giants played about as well as they could’ve offensively and they had a chance to win until Russ threw an horrific interception.

This Week: vs #8 Kansas City

#29 CLEVELAND BROWNS (0-2) -1

Last Week: #28, lost at #3 Baltimore, 41-17

The Browns were totally outmatched against a juggernaut in Baltimore.

This Week: vs #2 Green Bay

#30 TENNESSEE TITANS (0-2)

Last Week: #30, lost vs #6 LA Rams, 33-19

The Titans are just facing a talent deficit against every team they face.

This Week: vs #13 Indianapolis

#31 NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (0-2)

Last Week: #31, lost vs #21 San Francisco, 26-21

On paper, the Saints are probably the worst team in the NFL, but they’ve been game opponents, thus far.

This Week: at #16 Seattle

#32 MIAMI DOLPHINS (0-2)

Last Week: #32, lost vs #25 New England

The Dolphins put up a better fight this week, but it’s hard to find positives in a home loss to a bottom ten opponent.

This Week: at #4 Buffalo
